Regalia is a free app for Android and web created in 2026 by JL Alonso and Elena L., a couple with lots of friends and, therefore, lots of birthdays to keep track of.
The story is simple: we kept forgetting someone's birthday. And there's nothing worse than calling the day after with "sorry, it slipped my mind". That embarrassment was the first push.

A proof of concept that became a real app
JL is a data professional with over 20 years of experience, but no background in React, TypeScript or frontend development. Curiosity about AI and the real problem we lived with were the perfect trigger to test just how far AI could go as a coding co-pilot.
What started as a personal experiment became a fully-featured application, published on Google Play and accessible from any browser. Regalia is proof that AI can help anyone build things that were previously out of reach.
